Katya is a Vidal Sassoon trained stylist with over 20 years of experience. She began her professional career at the well-renowned salon, Bravissimo, and also served as a L'Oreal Professional educator. After moving to the Bay Area, Katya joined 77 Salon as one of their first stylists and shared its success through multiple awards for Best of Oakland. She built the cutting education program at 77 Salon and taught for 9 years, bringing up the next generation of Oakland stylists. She moved into entrepreneurship by building her own studio, Tekstura Salon, a successful salon in Piedmont which now has transformed into Capybara Hair Lounge in Walnut Creek.

Katya's work has been featured in publications such as Sacramento Magazine and Latest Hairstyles. Her work has appeared in events including both Lamb's and Ed Hardy's fashion shows and for Rammstein & Ali Wong. Katya specializes in enhancing natural texture, creative + precision haircuts, and excels at easy wash + wear styles.
